I just want to check and see if it is permitted to make direct contact with users who request a package that I developed on their behalf?

Specifically, I have just completed a beta version of the Apriori data miner a user requested, and I thought it would be nice to get it to them before approval. Based on the number of packages I have in queue, it would probably be months before they where able to get it from the site. This particular user has responded to clarification requests, so I know there is a real interest.

Right now, there is nothing specific to let you contact them, although it can be implemented later.

Alternatively, you also tell them to contact you using private messages by following your contact link.

Anyway, I intend to implement a way for unapproved packages to be recommended for requests, so those packages may not take that long to be approved.
